Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to welcome you and your children to the 2025-2026 Sunday School year at Holy

Archangels Armenian Church St. Michael & St. Gabriel. As we embark on another year of

spiritual growth and learning, we are thrilled to announce that Armenian Language classes will

be available on the third Saturday of the month during the school year. Our dedicated team of

teachers and volunteers have been working diligently to prepare a rich and engaging curriculum

that will foster a deeper understanding of our faith and heritage.

Holy Archangels Youth Program Open House & Registration will be held on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, from 10:00am – 1:00pm.

Youth Programs:

Sunday School

Sunday School classes will take place every Sunday, beginning on September 21st, 2025, from

10:30am – 12:00pm. The Sunday School curriculum is provided by our Diocese and includes a

religion lesson, video, Armenian Words of the Week, and Craft Activity.

Family Sunday (First Sunday of the Month)

The first Sunday of every month during the Sunday School year, students will enter the

Sanctuary to attend either the beginning (9:45am-10:30am), middle (10:30am-10:45am),

or end of Holy Badarak (11:20am-12:00pm). Please note: the first Sunday of the month

when students visit the Sanctuary at 9:45am, Der Vart will hold a special class before

Badarak begins.

Little Saints

Our Little Saints Program will be held on the third Saturday of every month beginning October 18th from 9:30am – 10:30am. This program is for children 4 years old and under. It includes a lesson with Der Vart and exploration time in our Sanctuary.

Armenian School

For children 5 and older, we are holding Armenian Language classes on the third Saturday of every month beginning October 18th from 9:30am-10:30am.

**Please note Little Saints and Armenian School are two separate classes, occurring on the

same day and time.

2025 Dates: October 18th, November 15th, December 20th

2026 Dates: January 17th, February 21st, March 21st, April 18th

Important Information

• Registration: Please ensure your child is registered by September 14th, 2025. Registration forms can be found at the Church Office or on the Church website under “Our Parish”  “Sunday School”.

• Materials: All necessary materials for Sunday School and Armenian School will be provided.

• Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial for your child's progress. If your child is unable to attend a class, please inform the Sunday School Superintendent in advance.

• Communication: The Sunday School Superintendent will email parents/guardians weekly regarding Sunday School schedule or any potential class cancellation/rescheduling. Please check your email weekly to stay up to date on last minute schedule changes.

2025 – 2026 Event Calendar

• Fall Hayride: Sunday School students and families will join Der Vart at Smolak Farms in North

• Andover for a special Hayride on Saturday, October 11th, 2025.

• Holy Archangels One Year Anniversary Celebration: Sunday, October 26th, 2025 – No Sunday School classes.

• Costume Parade: Sunday Schools students will wear their favorite costume and enjoy a festive fellowship with their Parish Family on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025.

• Food Drive: Sunday School will collect prepackaged food and canned goods for local food pantries from Sunday, November 2nd, 2025 – Sunday, November 30th, 2025.

• Clothing & Toy Drive: Sunday School will collect toys for local homeless shelters from Sunday, November 30th, 2025 – Sunday, December 14th, 2025.

• Christmas Tree Decorating & Movie: The children will help Der Vart put up the Christmas

• Tree in Ermonian Hall followed by a pizza dinner and movie on Friday, December 5th, 2025.

• Christmas Pageant: An opportunity for children to participate in our annual Christmas Hantis on Sunday, January 11th, 2026.

• Poonparegentan: The children are invited to help our Parish family kick-off the Lenten season with music, dancing, and a potluck luncheon on Sunday, February 15th, 2026.

• Lenten Dinner: Sunday School students and their families will host a Lenten Dinner on a Friday during Lent (Date TBD).

• Egg Hunt/Blessing of the Children: On Palm Sunday, March 29th, 2026, there will be an Egg Hunt followed by Der Vart’s Blessing of the Children after Holy Badarak.

• Easter: No Sunday School classes – Children will attend Holy Badarak with their families.

• End-of-Year Celebration: A celebration to recognize the hard work and achievements of our students on Sunday, May 3rd, 2026.
